Thibault.D: Hi my name is Thibault.D I’m 23 and I grew up in Reunion Island. I’ve been curious about weird/edgy stuff since I was 12, l remember watching Kids by Larry Clark at a pretty young age and since then I’ve been fascinated by teenage movies and subcultures in general. I’ve always wanted to share my collection of zines and rare stuff. I spent hours and hours on the internet to find these « memorabilia » as I call them and sometimes I share them on my instagram page.

BURST was a Japanese magazine published from 1995 to 2005. It was published by Byakuya Shobo from 1995 to 1999 , and by Core Magazine from 1999 to 2005. It is a representative counterculture magazine of the Heisei era, dealing with cutting-edge culture and bad tastes such as body modification, drugs and marijuana, corpse photography and murder, eroticism and scatology, and outlaws. The first editor-in-chief was Sone Masaru, also known as Pisken . Art direction and design were handled by PISS & JUNK. 

★ Since 2005, SHOCKMENTARY VISUAL MAGAZINE " DVD BURST " has been published as a DVD magazine.

★ Spin-off magazines of this magazine published by Core Magazine include " TATTOO BURST " and " BURST HIGH ".

My friend Thibault .D from France one night sent me a video on Instagram of himself flickering through pages of a BURST magazine because he knows how much I love disturbing content, and of course I was very fascinated and pleased with what I was seeing. I then thought it would be a great idea if we collaborated and used the extreme images he was showing me somehow, so we then decided to scan the best and most extreme photographs from each volume he had ( Complete Body Modification, Miss Erotist, Fine Sick Body Pain, God of Death, El EMPERADOR DE RUA MORGUE ) and to show you all. We thought this would be a sick idea considering the images we featured on here are rare and not online to see, but also because the physical versions of the magazines are hard to get your hands on.

Disturbing Cinema: SamHel you’re well-known for bringing audiences strong, boundary-pushing horror, erotic, and experimental short and feature length films in both digital and physical mediums. You've been working in Los Angeles' indie film industry for over a decade and have produced over 30 films, overseeing each stage of production from casting and scripting to distribution.
